Who says boron is boring? Certainly not Etimine USA. The new article “'Boring' Boron and Adhesives" by Etimine USA’s Technical Director and published in ASI’s September issue explains why the critically important role played by boron in the formulation of adhesives is far from boring. Etimine USA Adds Northwest Distribution Center
Etimine USA’s regional distribution network has just expanded with the addition of a 4th distribution center. Located on Washington State’s West Coast, the facility in Kent offers truck and rail transportation modes. It is designed to provide U.S. and Canadian customers with competitive freight options in the Pacific Northwest. The location represents the first western distribution center for Etimine USA and the fourth center in the U.S. Products began shipping in August 2014. The line of products available there is initially limited; Products and package types will expand as customers in the region realize the convenience of a cost effective source for quality boron products and boron mineral ores.

Eti Maden is now producing Boron Oxide Glassy Grade by the fusion process, a method used by other producers. This method produces a smaller particle size, +60 mesh (0.25mm), 35% minimum, compared to alternative processes. Physically, the small particle size corresponds to a large surface area. This makes the new Boron Oxide Glassy Grade more highly reactive and promotes even more of the cross-linking that is desired in many end uses such as refractory materials, amorphous metal and alloy manufacturing.
