Borax Decahydrate (also known as “10 mol Borax”) is a white, odorless crystalline granular or powder product. It is mildly alkaline by nature. As a result, it is commonly used as a buffering salt. Compared to Etibor 48 (Borax Pentahyrdate), which has a similar chemical structure, Borax Decahydrate has a lower Boron content per unit mass, a higher ratio of bound water and is more hygroscopic. It dissolves in water more easily than most other boron products.
